The ScottHulse PC education practice group offers representation to public and private educational institutions, including charter schools and public school districts.   • Drafted numerous types of construction documents for a major bond construction program as counsel for a large independent school district.
  • Assisted a large public school district with its procurement processes, including assisting in the drafting and review of requests for proposals, requests for qualifications and competitive bidding documents, and general business and contractual matters.
  • Advised and assisted a large independent school district regarding competitive bidding with respect to major bond construction projects.
  • Advised and assisted a large independent school district regarding competitive bidding with respect to and inclusive of health benefits program.
  • Advised a large independent school district regarding, and negotiated, health benefits contracts.
  • Served as special board counsel in termination/non-renewal proceedings.
  • Represented a large independent school district in its workers’ compensation claims.
  • Defended numerous employee grievances at all levels, including administrative proceedings and through judicial review.
